On Tuesday, Yazoo City faced Cleveland Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Yazoo City came out on top against Cleveland Central by a score of 44-35.
Holmes County Central posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 67-34 win over Greenville at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
Yazoo City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for Holmes County Central, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.
Yazoo City came up short against Holmes County Central when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 45-41. Can Yazoo City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
