Meanwhile, Arapahoe was able to grind out a solid win over Hitchcock County on Saturday, taking the game 51-43.
Arapahoe found their leader in underclassman Kade Fisher, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those 30 points set a new season-high mark for Fisher. Another player making a difference was Trenton Roskop, who scored five points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Wilcox-Hildreth's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Arapahoe, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's contest: Wilcox-Hildreth have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4.2 threes per game. It's a different story for Arapahoe, though, as they've been averaging only 5 threes per game. Given Wilcox-Hildreth's sizeable advantage in that area, Arapahoe will need to find a way to close that gap.
