North Rock Creek has gone a perfect 3-0 against Mannford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The North Rock Creek Cougars will square off against the Mannford Pirates at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Rock Creek not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024. They blew past Shawnee 15-0. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Jace Plumb was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Cason Coomer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Mavrick Wingo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Landon Rosser also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.
North Rock Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Mannford posted their closest win since April 26, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Sperry 8-7. The victory was some much needed relief for Mannford as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Mannford let Hagen Anderson and Hank Shasteen run wild. Anderson scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Shasteen scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Quincy Ardrey, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
North Rock Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. Mannford's record is now 4-6.
