The Ruidoso Warriors can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past Hatch Valley with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. That's another feather in the cap for Ruidoso, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ruidoso was led to victory by Logan Sandoval and Patrick Kimbrell. Sandoval dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists, while Kimbrell dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kimbrell has scored all season. Peyton Herrera was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Ruidoso now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Hatch Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ruidoso won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mescalero Apache at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. As for Hatch Valley, they will head out on the road to take on Reserve at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Reserve is ranked 132nd, while Hatch Valley is ranked 112th).
