The Oakes Tornadoes waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 45-40 W over Wyndmere/Lidgerwood. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oakes also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2020.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Jackson, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Thorpe, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Oakes' victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Oakes will be playing at home against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Richland is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
