The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverside in their matchups with Spring Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tate Adkins, who scored 19 points. Adkins is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Clay Robertson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Riverside has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Spring Valley, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
Riverside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Hill on January 24th. As for Spring Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cabell Midland at 7:00 p.m.
