The Hughson Huskies will head out to challenge the Argonaut Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Hughson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Hughson blew Turlock out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Turlock got their revenge. Hughson fell just short of Turlock by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Huskies have suffered since February 22nd.

Kylie Tangney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 16 Ks. Those 16 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Allison Moring made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Presley Wells was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Argonaut got themselves on the board against Bradshaw Christian on Wednesday, but Bradshaw Christian never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Pride. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Hailey Dewald, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Bradshaw Christian off the board. Dewald has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on AJ Schultz, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bri Bowers, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and one double.
Argonaut's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Hughson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6-1.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hughson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. However, it's not like Argonaut struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
