Palatine entered their tilt with Lake Zurich on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Palatine not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lake Zurich to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Palatine's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Lake Zurich, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Palatine will host Schaumburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Saxons at the right time seeing as the Saxons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Zurich, they will venture away from home to face off against Mundelein at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
