The Collinsville Cardinals were the 49-34 winner over the Memorial Chargers when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Collinsville took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Memorial on Friday.
Mataya Hall was her usual excellent self, scoring 34 points for Memorial. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hall has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Asia Roper, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Memorial, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collinsville will take on Skiatook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Memorial won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Will Rogers College at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. Will Rogers College is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
