After a string of four wins, Joshua's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 65-57 to the Mansfield Timberview Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Wolves are ranked 155th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mansfield Timberview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dani Milliner, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Milliner is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ar'Mya Amos-Horsley, who posted 15 points.

Joshua's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-9. As for Mansfield Timberview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Joshua will head out to challenge Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield Timberview, they will welcome Burleson at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield Timberview will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
