In what's become a running theme this season, the Wabaunsee Chargers gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Mission Valley 47-22. The win was just what Wabaunsee needed coming off of a 77-33 loss in their prior contest.
Mission Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Taylor Brammell, who scored seven points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Abby Packard, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Wabaunsee's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Mission Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Wabaunsee will stay at home for another game and welcome Riley County at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kansas (Riley County is ranked 84th, while Wabaunsee is ranked 74th). As for Mission Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Marais des Cygnes Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mission Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Tuesday.
