The Foran Lions will challenge the North Haven Nighthawks at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
North Haven will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Foran extended their winning streak to five on Wednesday. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand Lauralton Hall a 17-0 shutout. Surprisingly, this marked the Lions' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Abigail Corris made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Norah Bove was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Nyla Jaser was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Foran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Haven). They blew past West Haven 15-0 on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Nighthawks in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.
Alyssa DiGiovanna was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Ferriouolo, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Foran pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for North Haven, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Foran came up short against North Haven in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, falling 8-4. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
