Tillamook is 0-10 against Banks since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The pair will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tillamook will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Tillamook was able to grind out a solid victory over The Dalles, taking the game 59-50. Given Tillamook's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while The Dalles is ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tillamook to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adrian Vogel, who scored 12 points along with nine steals and five assists. Vogel is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Vogel, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Banks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Everything went their way against Harrisburg as Banks made off with a 74-50 victory. The result was nothing new for Banks, who have now won three games by 24 points or more so far this season.
Tillamook's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Banks, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Tillamook was taken down by Banks 68-25 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Tillamook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
