The Millry Wildcats won the last time they faced the Fruitdale Pirates, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Millry strolled past Fruitdale with points to spare, taking the game 58-44.
Despite the loss, Fruitdale still got an impressive performance from Deion Taylor, who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. CJ Weaver was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Millry's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Fruitdale, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Millry won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Choctaw County at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Choctaw County has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 5. As for Fruitdale, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Satsuma at 5:00 p.m. Satsuma is hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses.
