Riverview is on a five-game streak of home losses, the Commodores a 14-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Riverview Raiders will take on the Perry Traditional Academy Commodores at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Riverview pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Serra Catholic. While losing is never fun, Riverview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Eagles are ranked 250th).
Meanwhile, Perry Traditional Academy had to suffer through a rough 78-25 loss at the hands of the Eagles.
Riverview has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Perry Traditional Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
