Softball Recap: Calvert Extends Winning Streak to Three

Calvert entered their tilt with Reservoir on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the 'Gators with a sharp 9-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hailey Hilton was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Madison Dare was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Calvert's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Reservoir, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.

Coming up, Calvert will take on Huntingtown on Wednesday. As for Reservoir, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakland Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scorpions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17 runs per game on average), something the 'Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of.
