Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ralston Valley). They breezed past the Chatfield Chargers to the tune of 55-22 on Friday. With the Mustangs ahead 42-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Zeke Andrews was his usual excellent self, throwing for 257 yards and three TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punching in a pair of touchdowns on the ground. What's more, he racked up 168.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Levi Rillos was another key player, picking up 103 receiving yards and one score.
Ralston Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brady Warren and Ethan Shirazi. Shirazi got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Chatfield still got an impressive performance from Cash Williams, who threw for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards and one TD.
The win keeps Ralston Valley at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.3 points this season. As for Chatfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
