The Provine Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Callaway, falling 78-5. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Provine in their matchups with Callaway: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Callaway to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shelbie Walker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Walker's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Satiya Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Provine's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Callaway, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Provine will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jim Hill at 6:00 p.m. As for Callaway, they will head out on the road to face off against Lewisburg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lewisburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
