Kuna is 8-1 against Centennial since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Kavemen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Kuna is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Kuna took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Meridian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Kavemen have posted against the Warriors since March 10, 2020.
Rylee Mangum spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Elle Wemhoff was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Remington Quick, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Meanwhile, Centennial faced Owyhee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Patriots fell 16-11 to the Storm. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost six in a row.
Avery Simpson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Kuna's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Centennial's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kuna has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Centennial, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Kuna's sizable advantage in that area, the Patriots will need to find a way to close that gap.
