On Friday, Wheeling Central Catholic got the W thanks in part to Nico Kusic playing the best football he has all season. Kusic threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, defending a pass and snagged an interception.

Kade Koroneos Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Kade Koroneos produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Wheeling Central Catholic to the win on Friday. Koroneos rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 55 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 63 yards.
On the season, Koroneos has averaged 37.3 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to three.
