Baseline recap November 19, 2013
Upland extended the longest winning streak in Baseline this week by beating South Hills, 21-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Highlanders/Scots.
Los Osos fell to Vista Murrieta 57-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Upland's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Hilinski threw for 195 and 3 touchdowns and Trevor Wright had 66 yards receiving. On the ground Ronnie Esther contributed 53 yards. Malik Yoakum helped Upland's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 56 yards.
Hilinski put up the best numbers in passing as Tim Salter's team topped the Huskies. Hilinski's favorite target this week was Wright, who caught 2 passes for 66 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Highlanders/Scots' Hilinski and Wright have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Hilinski has thrown for 2,443 yards this season, while Wright has 63 catches for 1,247 yards. Marcellus Hunter from Alta Loma leads the league in rushing with 1,005 yards.
Rancho Cucamonga led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Redlands East Valley.
