The Chrisman Cardinals can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They breezed by Heritage at home to the tune of 71-40. With that win, Chrisman brought their scoring average up to 52.3 points per game.
Chrisman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Statler Mitchell, who scored 26 points along with 7 rebounds. Triston Lehmkuhl was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 10 steals.
Rylan White and Brennan Struck certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. White scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists, while Struck scored 10 points. White is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
Heritage struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Chrisman pulled down 15.
Chrisman's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chrisman will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salt Fork at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
