The Pine View Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 43-27 fall against Sky View. Pine View found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 15 to 6 on offense.
Pine View lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aniva Seve, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Leading Sky View to victory were Makena Smart and Claire Fischer. Smart scored 14 points along with six rebounds, while Fischer scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five steals. That's the first time this season that Fischer pulled down eight or more rebounds. Kaitlyn Schumann was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Pine View has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Sky View, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Pine View will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Green Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th. Green Canyon is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Sky View, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Uintah at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Uintah is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
