Richlands won the last time it faced Gate City, and things went their way on Friday, too. Richlands steamrollered Gate City 42-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0. This was the first game for both teams, giving Richlands a 1-0 record and starting Gate City off at 0-1.
Next week, Richlands take on Union [Appalachia/Powell Valley] at 7:00 PM. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up. As for Gate City, they will face of against Abingdon.
