Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.
Despite the loss, Mater Brighton Lakes Academy still got an impressive performance from Delianie Diaz, who scored 6 points. Diaz scored a full 60% of Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, their victory bumped their record up to 23-99.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mater Brighton Lakes Academy will challenge Four Corners at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Indian Springs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Indian Springs' defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Varsity Opponent's offense will have their work cut out for Varsity Opponent.
