On Friday, Christopher didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Archbishop Mitty, but they still walked away with a 32-28 win.
Jaxen Robinson looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns. William Rizqallah was in the mix as well, providing Christopher with two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Archbishop Mitty lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aj Cenizal. Despite the final result, he rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Jonah Kroenung was another key contributor, rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Christopher's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 Gilroy and 3-7 Lincoln (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 32.7% over those games). As for Archbishop Mitty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Christopher will head out on the road to face off against Menlo School at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Menlo School is ranked 194th, while Christopher is ranked 213th). Archbishop Mitty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
