The DuSable Panthers will be playing at home against the Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Huskies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as DuSable comes in on five and Horizon Science Academy-Southwest on six.
On Tuesday, DuSable didn't have too much trouble with Kelly at home as they won 40-24.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DuSable to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patrick Malone, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ave'Veyon Watkins, who scored 11 points.
In what's become a running theme this season, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 86-25 win over Instituto Health Sciences. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Horizon Science Academy-Southwest has posted since December 14, 2023.
Horizon Science Academy-Southwest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ahmet Unal out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Unal has scored all season. Marlon Williams was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds.
DuSable's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Horizon Science Academy-Southwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
