The Faith West Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Northland Christian, falling 51-13. Faith West Academy lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in November of 2014, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 33-29 score last time.
Northland Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabby White, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. White is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Sasha Simon, who scored ten points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Faith West Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for Northland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Faith West Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northland Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
