The Medina Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Albion. Medina was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Albion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
When it comes to explaining why Medina lost, one person who can't be blamed is Justin Pitts. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jerrell Nealy, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds.
Medina's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Albion, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8.
Medina will take on Barker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Medina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Albion, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-34 defeat vs. Warsaw on the 10th.
