When it comes to explaining why Jackson North Side lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anaiyah Bellamy. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikhara Robinson, who scored 11 points.
Even though they lost, Jackson North Side were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for Jackson Central Merry and bumps their season record up to 4-1. As for Jackson North Side, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Jackson Central Merry will head out on the road to face off against Millington Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson North Side will be home for the holidays to greet West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
