Borger is 1-9 against the Demons since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Borger Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Dumas Demons at 7:30 p.m. Borger is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 16-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Borger had to suffer through a rough 64-33 loss at the hands of the Harvesters. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Borger in their matchups with the Harvesters: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Borger had strong showings from Tahqulin Brooks, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Kaeden Jennings, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Brooks hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 13 straight games.
Meanwhile, Dumas' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 59-48 to Hereford.
Borger's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Dumas, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.
Borger suffered a grim 61-41 defeat to the Demons when the teams last played back in January. Can Borger avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
