Heritage Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Canyon State Academy Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Heritage Academy put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-0 win over Mission Heights Prep at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Heritage Academy's seven-point performance the contest before.
Kaden Bergman and Mattson Young were among the main playmakers for Heritage Academy as the former picked up 173 receiving yards and two touchdowns and the latter threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Bergman's longest reception was for an incredible 95 yards.
Canyon State Academy can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game last Thursday. They had just enough and edged Heritage Academy out 24-22.
Heritage Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.7 points per game. As for Canyon State Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Heritage Academy strolled past Canyon State Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 by a score of 38-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for Heritage Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
