Given Fresno's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Roosevelt is ranked 648th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Fresno was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Emmanual Navarro and
Julian Salinas, who scored both of Fresno's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 21 so far this season.
Fresno has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4-2 record this season. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13-4.
