Dakota Valley is 7-2 against Sioux City West since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Dakota Valley Panthers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sioux City West Wolverines at 7:45 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Dakota Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Friday, Dakota Valley faced Dell Rapids in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Dakota Valley strolled past Dell Rapids with points to spare, taking the game 69-52.
Jaxson Wingert was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds. Wingert is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 21 every time he's taken the court this season. Logan Collette was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, even though Spencer scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Sioux City West still came out on top. Sioux City West took their matchup against Spencer 63-56.
Dakota Valley pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sioux City West, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.
Dakota Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Sioux City West in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 79-69. Does Dakota Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sioux City West turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
