Luverne strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Jackson County Central Huskies with a sharp 16-6 victory. That looming 16-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

Maddux Domagala and Joshua Hansen made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Domagala tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hansen struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave Domagala a new career-high in strikeouts (two). At the plate, Domagala went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Hansen went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That hit marked the first that Hansen has got this season.

In other batting news, Luverne got a massive performance out of Blake Sauer, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Sauer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. M Miller was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Luverne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jackson County Central only posted an OBP of .423.

Luverne's record now sits at 4-0. As for Jackson County Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
