The Verde Valley Coyotes had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They really took it to BASIS - Prescott for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-27 win on the road.
Verde Valley was led to victory by Liam Yang and Angelo Ayuel. Yang scored 11 points, while Ayuel scored 12 points.
Verde Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for BASIS - Prescott, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verde Valley will face off against Caurus Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for BASIS - Prescott, they will head out on the road to face off against BASIS - Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
