Baseball Recap: South Prairie/Max Takes a Loss

South Prairie/Max was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars. That's two games in a row now that South Prairie/Max has lost by exactly five runs.

South Prairie/Max saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Burke Rauschenberger, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Rauschenberger has brought in this season.

South Prairie/Max's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coming up, South Prairie/Max will head out on the road to square off against Harvey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky], they will take on Velva/Drake/Anamoose at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
