Poway has gone 8-2 against Rancho Bernardo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Titans will head out to challenge the Broncos at 4:00 p.m. Rancho Bernardo took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Poway, who comes in off a win.
Poway is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mission Hills 16-0 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Titans with their most commanding win of the season.
The result came thanks to Aubrey Stiritz's shutout, as she gave up just three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ashleigh Ronsse was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Amelia Dockery, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Poway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission Hills only posted an OBP of .167.
Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo didn't have quite enough to beat Mt. Carmel on Thursday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Broncos in their meetings with the Sundevils: they've now lost three in a row.
Charlotte Savarese spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Rancho Bernardo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Doran, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Poway and bumps their season record up to 11-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Rancho Bernardo, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Poway was able to grind out a solid victory over Rancho Bernardo in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
