There's no place like home for Pecos, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against Penasco on Wednesday as Pecos made off with an 18-8 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jonah Villanueva was a standout: he got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Holton, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-5.

The victory got Pecos back to even at 1-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pecos beat Penasco by a score of 16-4 later that day.
