It was a good run, but the Rehobeth Rebels unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 70-56 bruising from Carroll. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rehobeth in their matchups with Carroll: they've now lost five in a row.
Leading Carroll to victory were Devon Pruitt and Michael Culver. Pruitt scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Culver scored 21 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Culver has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lakeith Person, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Rehobeth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rehobeth will challenge Poplar Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Poplar Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 671st in Florida, while Rehobeth is ranked 271st in Alabama). As for Carroll, they will head out on the road to take on Cottonwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
