Garey wasn't the only one making solid contact: Nordonia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Stow-Munroe Falls not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 18, 2024. Everything went their way against Hudson as they made off with a 16-6 victory. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Olivia Patterson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aaliyah Thammachack, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Terah Bentley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Nordonia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nordonia has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .442.
