Even though the Winter Warriors scored an imposing 68 points on Monday, the Prentice Buccaneers still came out on top. Prentice snuck past Winter with a 73-68 win. That's another feather in the cap for Prentice, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Winter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gunnar Greuel, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 25 rebounds. Greuel scored a full 32.4% of Winter's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Bednorski, who scored 21 points.
Prentice's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Winter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Prentice is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Tomahawk at 7:15 p.m. on December 5th. As for Winter, they will be playing at home against Birchwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
