The Hilton Cadets posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They breezed by Rush-Henrietta on the road to the tune of 84-57. Given Hilton's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Rush-Henrietta is ranked 243rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Rush-Henrietta saw an underclassman step up: Jalen Taggart scored 21 points along with two steals. Taggart has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played.
The win was the third in a row for Hilton, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
