The Boyd Yellowjackets lost against the Peaster Greyhounds back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Boyd received a tough blow as they fell 43-28 to Peaster. Boyd has struggled against Peaster recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Boyd's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braden Mcintire, who threw for 275 yards and four touchdowns. Morgan Cain also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Among those leading the charge was Lafe Bringman, who rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Kelley, who rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Boyd's defeat was their fifth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Peaster, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-6.
Boyd does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Peaster will head out on the road to face off against Clyde at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clyde presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Peaster in Texas (Clyde is ranked 233rd, while Peaster is ranked 605th).
