Reagan is 1-9 against Hialeah Gardens since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Reagan Bison will get right back to it and host the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Reagan will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
On Monday, Reagan blew past Hialeah-Miami Lakes, posting a 49-13 victory at home. 49 seems to be a good number for Reagan as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Hialeah Gardens beat Hallandale 58-46 on Monday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Hialeah Gardens has scored all year.
Khalil Volel was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Volel's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Pupo, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.
Reagan's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Hialeah Gardens, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Reagan came up short against Hialeah Gardens when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-48. Thankfully for Reagan, Luke Mansoori (who scored 16 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
