Deer Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miramonte Matadors. If the Wolverines were looking for revenge after losing  3-0 to the Matadors when the teams met back in September of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 SaLeah Maka paced Deer Valley's offense, picking up six kills. Maka got some help from  Gabriella Duarte and her 17 assists.  Mikaila Balingit controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Deer Valley now  has a losing record of 6-7. As for Miramonte,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
 Deer Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  loss against Emerald on the 13th. As for Miramonte, they have also already played their next contest,  a  2-0  defeat against Washington on the 13th.
