Football Game Preview: Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners vs. Clark Chargers

The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners and the Clark Chargers will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Career Tech is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Southeast Career Tech's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Saturday, when they got past Boulder City's usually-dominant defense. Southeast Career Tech blew past Boulder City 32-6. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leyla Randolph was her usual excellent self, rushing for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns she has posted since back in February. Jayla Elfberg was Randolph's top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Southeast Career Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out Makayla Nelson. three times. Meeya Ream was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks herself.

Meanwhile, Clark was not the first on the board last Friday, but they got there more often. They enjoyed a cozy 25-6 victory over Rancho. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Clark's win came from a few key players Southeast Career Tech will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ava Reed, who picked up 41 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 83 yards on only 11 carries. Annika Griffith was another key player, picking up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Southeast Career Tech's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Clark, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.
