The GEO Next Generation Tigers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 43-42 win over Baker. The victory was just what GEO Next Generation needed coming off of a 64-40 loss in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead GEO Next Generation to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quinniece Darby, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Jack, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
GEO Next Generation's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Baker, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
GEO Next Generation will head out on the road to take on Collegiate at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Baker, they will be playing at home against Ascension Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
