The Autaugaville Eagles won the last time they faced the Calhoun Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Autaugaville slipped by Calhoun 51-50.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Robertson, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenterris Managan, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
The win got Autaugaville back to even at 5-5. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Autaugaville will play host again and welcome Central, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Calhoun, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellwood Christian has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 9.
