Woodside blew San Mateo out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday San Mateo got their revenge. Woodside fell just short of San Mateo by a score of 5-3. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Woodside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Barstad, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Woodside's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for San Mateo, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
